Help Steven Rest at Fort Snelling

This gofundme is being set up for Steven W. Harder's transportation and funeral costs. My dad's burial wishes are to be buried at Fort. Snelling National Cemetery, Minnesota.

For the last 4 years my dad Steven fought bladder cancer. He beat cancer twice through radiation and chemo and was going in for routine check ups. Late June he had to be admitted to the hospital twice, the first time was for an infection to the tubes going into his kidneys. This wasnt uncommon to happen and usually he would bounce right back.

But when he came home after the first hospital stay, it was less then 2 days before he was sent right back. After days of my dad being in the hospital and growing weaker and weaker, I took my kids to go see him.

Thats when we found out the cancer was not only back but had already spread to his pelvic bone, lymph nodes and lungs.

It was then that we were informed my dad would be needing hospice. Within 8 days of being told this information and only 4 days on hospice at home my dad passed away. With everything happening so fast it did not give my family time to prepare for this major life event or set up funeral arrangements ahead of time.

As much as I would love my father to be close to me, his wishes were to be buried at Fort. Snelling in Minnesota. The military meant a lot to my dad and Minnesota is his home state.
