What started as a routine hernia surgery turned into a two-week hospital stay after I developed blood clots and pneumonia. My recovery has been slow because of my diabetes, and just when I thought I was finally turning a corner, my incision stopped healing. This week I was told I have to undergo another surgery.

Because of all this, I’ve been unable to work, perform, or do much of anything. Drag, art, and performing are how I support myself, and without being able to do them, the medical bills and everyday expenses have become overwhelming. I’ve now been out of work for over a month, and with another surgery ahead, I’ll be unable to return for even longer.

I’ve always tried to push through, make people laugh, entertain, and lift others up. It’s difficult for me to be the one asking for support. But the truth is, I need help to get through this chapter. Anything you give will go directly toward medical bills, recovery costs, and keeping my home stable while I heal.
