Help Steven recover from COVID complications

Hi my name is Lisa and I am generating this gofundme to help my brother Steven Polczynski and his family to cover their medical expenses and long term rehab services as a result of the lingering complications from COVID-19.
He contracted the virus by conducting a selfless act by taking care of our mother when she contracted the COVID-19 virus and unfortunately succumbed to the illness. His COVID journey has been critical, life threatening and lengthy. As of today 9/14/21 it has been 469 days of being hospitalized in either an ICU or a long term care rehab facility. He has exhausted all of his benefits with his insurance company and now his family is forced to cover all his medical expenses for rehab. He needs extensive physical therapy and is unable to obtain these services as needed due to the exorbitant costs of his care. He was on the ventilator for 7 long months and two cardiac arrests. On day 333, we were hopeful that he was coming home from rehab and staying home. But, that was short-lived. He went back to the hospital due to infections. Then back to the rehab facility for a couple more months. He is a fighter and one of the strongest people I know. He is home due to the families inability to cover the expenses of the long term facility where he was getting extensive physical therapy. He needs daily skilled nursing care and physical therapy. Please help us raise the funds for Steven and his family for medical expenses and to help make their home handicap accessible.
