On February 3rd, 2025, my life changed in an instant. I was simply walking to the corner store for a coffee before work when a black jeep pulled over in front of me. Two men jumped out—one with a knife, the other with a pipe. They attacked me, fracturing my left arm, which had just recently undergone surgery, and stabbing me six times in my back and stomach. Since that day, I haven’t been able to work or even feel safe going out in public. A police report was filed and the attackers were prosecuted, but the aftermath has been overwhelming.
Any money I received for help was taken by child support, and I lost my car and my apartment. Now, I’m staying with my grandma, trying to recover both physically and emotionally. I’m undergoing more surgeries on my arm and mental health evaluations to cope with the trauma. My whole life has been turned upside down, and I’m struggling to get back on my feet.
I’m reaching out because I need help to rebuild. The support I receive will go toward reliable transportation, a safe place to live, and catching up on medical bills and other urgent needs. It’s scary how quickly life can change, but I want to believe there are still good people out there. Your kindness and support would mean the world to me and help restore my faith that people can make a difference in someone’s life.
