Hey everyone, My name is Steven and in 2022 I developed an autoimmune disease. Over the last few years my doctors and I have been trying various medications to get it under control but starting in October of 2024 my symptoms started to worsen and was eventually hospitalized for ten days in December. Because the medications I take leave me immunocompromised I am more susceptible to getting sick and that's just what happened. Along with the doctors thinking I grew an immunity to my medication I caught a viral and bacterial infection. After lots of steroids and other medications I'm finally feeling better! Now I have to get regular IV fed medication every few months. Thankfully it has helped tremendously but unfortunately my health insurance is not the greatest. I was hit with an almost 18k dollar hospital bill, after talking with the hospital's financial assistance I was able to bring it down to 16k dollars, which is still a huge amount. Any help would be incredibly appreciated whether it be through donation or by sharing this with others to help raise awareness of my situation.
