Help Steven Overcome Cancer and Financial Strain

Donation protected
Hey guys, it’s me Steven.
on 10/21/2024 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer and am going to have my operation on 10/25/2024, the hope is I caught it in time to not have to do chemo however like a lot of folks we are still a check to check household. We recently moved into our dream home and I drained my savings doing it, leaving me scraping pennies together in hopes to meet my deductible and keep the bills paid. I absolutely hate asking for help, I’m not the type to ask for financial help one bit but when I do it’s because I REALLY could use the help.
a bit about me: I’m Steven, 31 and married to the woman of my dreams Kyla. We are going on 4 years and happily married! I’ve been in recovery for over a year now for alcoholism, it’s definitely one of my most proudest accomplishments in my life, to overcome that I know I can overcome anything! I’ve an avid paintballer who loves the sport and the community of people I’ve found in it. I work in the medical field as a sterilization tech and am passionate about my job, it’s one of the first jobs I’ve had I can genuinely say the work I do makes a real difference in someone’s life.
With this diagnosis, it’s going to make it incredibly hard for us to make ends meet and make the deductible happen. Thankfully it sounds like I can be put on a payment plan for the balance, which I unfortunately won’t know until it happens, gotta love the American healthcare system right? The good out of this is my job is protected!
like I mentioned, I absolutely hate asking for help unless I REALLY need it and well I’ll really need it and know I truly appreciate anything and everything donated. The amount I put for the fundraiser is pretty much what the doc said I should expect out of pocket just for the surgery. But seriously, anything and everything helps!

thanks for reading! I’ll try my best to update this as everything unfolds.
Update 10/25- Surgery went well and I’m home recovering from the fun I had.. it wasn’t exactly fun but you know me I gotta make light of the situation.
I want to thank everyone who’s donated, without every single one of you I’d be an anxious mess and you’ve given me and Kyla some space to worry less about how this will all unfold. I am INCREDIBLY thankful to have you all as my friends and relieved to know this financial burden won’t be as bad as we expected. Thursday (10/31) tenatively I’ll be going back to meet with my urologist to see what our next steps are, along with what kind of cancer this is and then moving forward with whatever the best way to treat this will be! I’m so incredibly thankful and grateful for everyone who’s donated, this has been an emotional whirlwind for us. Thank you thank you thank you friends and fam.
