Hey, my name is Steven McNease. To be creating this on my birthday hurts, but as the saying goes, “put your pride aside.”

2 years ago, I was a victim of a fire loss where I saved a family's life in Mesa, Arizona. I took a really big loss and a cash savings with a number I won’t disclose, but it cost me not being able to get back on my feet immediately. Since then, my health (lumbar & forming disc bulge) has taken a toll from stress, depression, and anxiety, and I have not been able to catch my footing after missing an NBA workout & Big3 the next year.

I've been sleeping in my car while undergoing 3 back procedures in 2025 and recently lost my car in June while on bed rest from my second procedure. I have one more procedure to go that can help me big time with added physical therapy, but my doctor suggests not having it if my battle with homelessness is not ended soon to actually be able to heal and regain mental stability along with physical and financial stability.

I really need help on receiving funding for housing & credit repair due to the constant loss I've encountered, not being able to work or even just maintain a healthy day-to-day life. I've done as much as I can with the pain I have every day and have utilized every resource (shelter, 211, churches, housing authority list, etc.).

My only birthday wish is to have a roof over my head. Anything helps, whether it's helping get things off my credit to move forward with getting approved for a place or if you have a contact on housing options personally.
