Help Steve's Surgery Recovery

I'm reaching out to you because Steve Pryzlakowski is a mutual friend and he finds himself in a tough situation. Along with the general discomfort that accompanies years of physical work, he has been experiencing acute shoulder, neck, and back pain. Recently, he has been finding himself short of breath for no apparent reason. He’s been to all kinds of doctors and he finally got clearance to see a cardiologist. He had a procedure last week and  I’m sorry to say that the results were not great. Steve has three seriously blocked arteries and he will need to have open -heart triple by-pass surgery immediately. As you may know, Steve is a self- employed carpenter/ cabinetmaker and, like a lot of hard working folks, he’s had his struggles over the years. His health issue is a far more challenging struggle because he cannot simply work harder and longer to overcome it. The good news is that he has health coverage and the doctors have agreed to accept his insurance and he will be able to have the surgery. The troubling news is that the recovery period is 10- 12 weeks and he has minimal savings and no disability insurance. You may or may not know that he is a divorced dad with custody of two children, eight year old Andrew and eighteen year old Raeanna. Steve is the sole provider for the family, and he is going to need help with basic necessities and day to day living costs through the Christmas Holiday. Please find it in your heart to help him get through this difficult time. Although Steve has never been a man of means, he has given what he has, time and commitment. He invested 15 years of service helping those behind bars and was an early supporter and fundraiser for Aids research. Steve promises that if you help him through this difficult time for he and his children, he will be there for you.
