Help Steve "Uncle Fezter" Roca's Stroke Recovery

Some of you may know him as Steve, all-around cool guy and National Lampoon aficionado. Others know him as Uncle Fezter, the creator behind the most amazing hair flowers you could ever wear. I simply know him as my friend.

I was first introduced to Steve several years ago, when I interviewed him for a piece about his incredible hair flower creations for an online magazine. He was creative, dapper, and funny as hell, a man who'd worn many hats. A former historical researcher for Maryland state and federal Supreme Court cases, Steve could be just as home on the dance floor, teaching swing dance classes, as he could in the Library of Congress.

Although we've never met in person, we became fast friends. We kept in touch through the heartache of losing my husband to the heartbreak of a debilitating condition that severely restricted Steve's mobility to the point he could barely walk.

And then, as if life wasn't difficult and painful enough, Steve suffered a massive stroke, affecting his mobility even further.

That's where you come in.
