Hello everyone! My name is Andrea, and I have started this Gofundme on behalf of Steve Sward and Family.

Steve needs our help! Over the past few months Steve's health has significantly declined. He has spent the last several months going back and forth to doctor visits trying to find out what exactly is going on with him. It began with leg pain, and changes with redness/discoloration, and swelling from his knees to his ankles. The leg pain he describes as feeling like they were beaten with a baseball bat. He has made several trips to the doctor's office and emergency rooms, all with hope of finding out what is going on. Finally a few weeks ago, doctors started taking action and running multiple CT scans and a bone marrow biopsy.

Steve has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia-an aggressive cancer of the blood and bone marrow. He will be undergoing chemotherapy in the next week and over the next few months. This treatment is getting his body prepped and ready for a stem cell transplant. He has a long journey ahead of him and needs all the prayers we can give!

Due to his inability to work during this time, our hope is to raise funds to help him financially so he can worry about himself and not his mounting bills. Steve has been an amazing father, grandfather, brother, and friend to so many of us over the years. He has built a strong community of people that all love and adore him.
