On Friday February 11th my brother Steve had taken his sweet dogs To the dog park like any other day, to run around and play fetch. Chief being the playful fun loving dog he was decided he needed three balls in his mouth because one was never good enough for him.

While Steve was enjoying watching the dogs enjoy their park time, Chief suddenly began to choke so Steve ran over to see what was happening when he realized Chief was in real danger. While he tried desperately to reach in to Chief’s mouth and throat to try and help him dislodge the ball Chief had accidentally swallowed in his excitement, Chief bit down on Steve’s hand very hard breaking his finger.

Sadly Steve was unsuccessful in retrieving the ball and Chief passed soon after, despite Steve’s efforts. He attempted with his finger still freshly broken to rush Chief to the emergency vet but unfortunately was to late. Steve had to watch one of his best friends die while enduring the pain of his badly damaged hand while still frantic from the ordeal that just took place,
