Help Steve Spencer Heal and Come Home

Hi wonderful friends, family and all. Our Dad, Steve “Teeb”, “SteveO” Spencer has been on quite the medical journey the past 2 years. Of most recent, the past 2.5 months have especially been a rocky, terdbasket of a rollercoaster time - since Feb 2024 he’s had three hospital admissions, a heart attack, heart stent, aortic valve surgery, gallbladder surgery followed by brain surgery to remove an abscess followed by few week stay at a HORRIBLE rehab facility and now back at the hospital with another brain abscess for which he is getting the highest quality care with multiple teams helping him fight this infection. He’s improving quicker than we anticipated!! Yay!!! But he has a long road to recovery and we are trying to get our parents home ready for him so that we can help deliver safe and adequate care. Including in home healthcare, PT etc. Chris and his awesome buddies have already started prepping for remodeling for easier, safer accessibility. Thank you guys so much!!!!!

Steve’s major medical journey began 2 years ago with diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma of his scalp (cancer) - he quietly completed multiple rounds of radiation and immunotherapy treatments while running his full time tax business with the help of his amazing assistant Nancy Spencer:). Because of the radiation he has been battling a gnarly scalp wound for awhile - unfortunately the wound got infected and seemingly spread down to his brain which caused the abscess to grow.

Our Dad is not one to share things like this or ask for help. He’s incredibly strong willed and stubborn - which he passed down to his children So we carefully made the decision as a family that he deserves to allow loved ones to help out if they want. The best way is for any donation… $5 bucks here and there will surely add up to help my mom pay hospital expenses and to help modify their home to make it a safe haven for his road to healing ❤️‍
