My father, Steve Ankney, has always been someone who puts others first. When a wildfire swept through our area, he was focused on saving the livestock, not realizing that his own home was at risk. In a matter of moments, everything he owned was destroyed—his trailer, car, clothing, and years of memories. He escaped with only the clothes on his back, and now faces the daunting task of rebuilding his life from scratch.
