Hey. I will keep this short and sweet. I just found out that my dear friends, Steve Pellegrino--who many of you know as the brilliant, beautiful man behind the knives of Pellegrino's Cutlery--and his fiancée, Rae--who many of you know as home chef, gardener, designer, and dog mom extraordinaire on Instagram @raefried_beans--were in a car accident last night.

A substantial tree branch fell onto their car while they were driving home. Steve suffered a major spinal injury, along with a laceration to his head. Rae's car is almost certainly totaled. If you know either of these two, you know that they are the sweetest, realest, kindest, most self-reliant people there are. They would never ask for a thing, so I'm asking for them.

Medical bills can and do add up quickly, especially when specialists and surgeons enter the picture. I know everyone is struggling right now in the aftermath of the last year and change, but if you're able to help out Steve and Rae, I would be eternally grateful. Even if you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this so more folks can see it.

There isn't a set of human beings who deserve this less. Let's help them, yeah?
