Melanie and Steve Garrison are the kindest people who have always been willing to go above and beyond for others. They are both very loving people with a beautiful family and many many friends. 

Just a few weeks ago Steve was admitted to the hospital and has been diagnosed with stomach and esophageal cancer. 

Melanie and Steve have worked hard their whole lives and have always been there for others never asking for anything in return.

12 years ago they fought long and hard to bring him back from his stroke and build him up to be the best person he could be without ever asking for anything and wanting nothing but a chance to live out their beautiful love story and the happily ever after they have always wanted.

..but now with this severe diagnosis, Melanie will have to stop working (for an unknown period of time) to be with him and take care of him 24/7 for not only his lack of communication and understanding due to the stroke but all the needs and medical care that it's going to take to fight this.

They are in for a long hard road with an unclear ending. The struggles that they have already endured are about to triple with this horrible cancer diagnosis that has been a blow to the entire family and friends. 

Despite the challenges that lie ahead of them they still continue to hang on and believe that the love they have for each other will get them through and are trying to stay optimistic and determined to fight this battle head on. Thier resilience and strength inspires us all and they are determined to fight this battle with each other they and cannot do it alone.

I and We as her family are asking for all that know what amazing people they are and love them. What can we do as a community to help them.

Which is why despite their pride, I am taking it upon myself to start this fundraiser to help these two loving and giving people a chance to fight with everything they have with any less worries that we can unburden them with would be extremely grateful so Melanie can tend to Steve with everything she's got. 

Together let's rally around them and support the needs they're going to need for this fight. 

They both have always been so proud and would never ask for financial help but as their friend and their family members, we know the financial hardships they face.

 

So, I am asking along with their family and friends to take this worry off of their plate and be able to concentrate on fighting this fight.

The money we raise will help them with medical expenses, uncovered treatments, travel and bills and etc that will be harder to manage with Melanie being out of work.

This has been a hard pill to swallow and two of the nicest people that we all know and love just can't catch a break between his stroke, her lymphoma and now this unimaginable diagnosis of cancer.

 

I think we all must agree that they deserve a little help and a break and I believe that our community are the ones who can give that to them not only because we care and love them but because they deserve it.
