Help Steve Llewelyn and family
Donation protected
Wednesday morning (12/15), roughly around 6:30am, a snow squall hit Sandoval county, producing dangerous wind gusts. Steve and his young daughter were traveling to Los Alamos from Jemez when he had a blowout on his truck. When he pulled over, a large tree fell on his vehicle pinning his daughter in the back seat and injuring him. Due to the location and the treacherous conditions, it took emergency services a lot longer to provide aid. After over 2 hours in the freezing temperatures, Steve’s daughter was finally extracted with assistance of the jaws of life. Conditions were too bad to land a helicopter to airlift them out. Finally, both were transported to the hospital where both are currently admitted with severe injuries. Due to the extent of the injuries, Steve will be out of work for much of the foreseeable future. He and his daughter will have a long road to recovery. Any help that can be provided to the family will be greatly appreciated for medical expenses and to provide extra assistance for future medical needs as well as daily living expenses. This fund is being created for Steve and his family by coworkers at LANL, all donations will be given to him directly. Thank you for your support of this hardworking man and his family.
