Dear Dad,
I know that you’ve been fighting and enduring for our family all these years. When situations got bad you never failed to be a good dad and never let your sickness get in the way of showing Mom love, supporting our family, and giving Lydia and I your undivided attention and compassion. Small things you would do for our family will be the best memories I keep of you. You would go out early in the morning and bring us breakfast. Another memory is when you came home from dialysis, picked Lydia and I up from school, and always made sure we had food on the table. When you were resting and I asked you for a ride you never said no. I remember telling you if you aren’t feeling well you do not need to give me a ride. You told me not to worry and even bought snacks and food for me and my friends. I knew that you were hurting and couldn’t do a-lot of activities dads would do but you have always gave your all for our family. My most memorable memory we had together was when we all went to Solvang our whole family was very chubby from all the food you would feed us. We rode a bike with 4 people but it broke down due to obvious reasons but you got out and pushed the cart with us sitting in it around the whole town. I knew you felt bad and of course you bought all of us caramel apples and cakes afterwards. I never saw you as a sick dad instead I saw a selfless, caring, and tenacious warrior. Knowing you are not hurting and suffering puts your family and friends in peace. Your contagious laughter and warm heart will stay close to us forever. Dad you’ve always been an amazing role model showing me the importance of Christianity and how we should put our trust in God. We thank you God for blessing the world with the most motivating, patient, and affectionate dad, husband, friend, and fighter. We all miss the knowledge you brought to the dinner table to the crazy stories of your fun and exciting life. We all fight for you and love you. Knowing you are in heaven looking down and protecting our family recovers the hole in all of our hearts. Whenever something difficult happens, I’ll forever remember the ways you fought for your life to staying even a little longer with us. We have always been and will keep fighting and stay strong. I’ll make you proud dad. We all love you.

your daughter, Prisca Lee
