Help Steve in his race to beat cancer.
Donation protected
On May 1st our good friend Steve Toth hit the race track at Laguna Seca in his home state of California. His car donned the Smoke Inn logo, the first ever driver to be sponsored by Smoke Inn. We all cheered Steve on. This however would end up being Steve's last race after a career that spanned over 30 years.. A wreck that day prevented him from crossing the finish line and Steve, suffering back and neck pain, decided to retire from racing.
While Steve was sad to not have been able to cross the finish line that day, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. When he went to have his neck and back checked out, they discovered Steve had cancer. Steve has said many times that had he not had the wreck on the track he may have never discovered that he had cancer and undergone treatment in time.
That positive attitude and energy is what makes us all love this amazing Husband, father of 3 and grandfather of 4 so very much. Like all other situations in his life, Steve has undergone the cancer treatments with an attitude of grace, gratitude and positivity. To say he is selfless would be an understatement.
Please help us in our effort to raise funds to help Steve cover the astronomical cost of his treatment. Not only has he incurred medical expenses but his wife has had to take FMLA in order to be Steve's caregiver and they were forced to rent an apartment close to the hospital, adding to the costs. He has been undergoing radiation and chemotherapy for his cancer, and while we won't know the success of the treatment for many weeks, we are all praying for a complete recovery.
