Help Steve Get His Match Point Against Cancer!
Donation protected
My Dad
In summer 2018, my dad, Steve Torr, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer—mucinous adenocarcinoma of the appendix. After surgery and multiple rounds of chemo, his cancer went into remission. However, this past September he was diagnosed with Stage IV that had metastasized to other parts of his abdomen, so he’s undergone a very complicated procedure involving multiple surgeries and a specialized kind of treatment called hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy.
The only way he could have undergone the procedure is because he got himself into such healthy and strong shape before going into it... so let’s get this tennis player back in shipshape so he can get his match point!
What I'm Fundraising For
My dad has been unable to work during treatments and will be unable to work during recovery. It’s expected it will take 4-5 months for recovery, and your donations will help with what insurance doesn't pick up, from hospital stays, home nurse visits, specialized meals, medical supplies, trips to the ER, and other medical bills.
How You Can Help
It’s never easy asking for help, and I know that money is tight for everyone these days, but please know that any donation will be greatly appreciated. And though it will take some time to get there recovery-wise, slow and steady wins the race, and we all know how much my dad likes to win.
And if you can't help out directly, sharing this far and wide with your networks might mean it could reach someone who can! Thank you all so much for your love and support for my dad!
