Hi, my name is Steve. I currently work 2 jobs to support myself, one of which is Uber/Uber Eats. I am hoping to receive help raising the money to fix my van as soon as possible. My head gasket blew out and warped the engine block, taking my second job as an Uber driver away from me and reducing my income by about 50%. The engine now needs to be replaced, and I still owe almost $9,000 on the financing loan for the vehicle itself. Trading it for something else in its current condition will only put me further in debt. My current bills take up now half of my monthly income if I spread my food spending very thin. My credit score has somehow dropped since obtaining my van, so another loan is not a feasible option either. At my current working wage, it is going to take me at least 4-6 months to save up the money due to my other ongoing expenses. I am not looking for any long-term help. I am only trying to get my only mode of reliable transportation back up and running. If 500 people are able to spare $10 each, it will cover the repair cost as well as anything the garage may add on to the bill. All proceeds will be used to pay the garage for the repair.
