At 52, this handsome young man had a cardiac arrest. I'm a little bias since I am a sister. But I'm also a nurse.  That was two and a half years ago. He arrested with 45 minutes of CPR performance provided by medical staff at a clinic, ambulance staff during transport, and hospital emergency room staff that were finally able to recover a heartbeat. After 5 long months of recovery from such a serious illness, he was able to return to work full-time and provide for his underage children. Since then 2 of his children have turned 18 and he still has a 14 year old that he cares for. He is now diagnosed with oropharyngeal cancer. He has a positive prognosis, however, the treatment is grueling and enduring. It means that he had to return to medical disability And has lost his major source of income, his full-time job. He has a significant need to meet expenses and has no one else in his household to help him with that. This fundraiser is meant to help sustain him over the next couple of months and to recover some debt that has accrued over the past two months. It will not only help him with his medical transportation and treatment needs and his vehicle repair, but it also needs to help him pay the bills. Any help is greatly appreciated. He thanks the Lord everyday forgiving him more time on this Earth. Our goal, God willing, is for wven more.
