Hello. If you have been following mine and my husband's life for the past couple of months, then you are aware of his medical diagnosis,.. a type of blood/bone cancer, called Multiple Myloma. It all started for him back in October 2025, with back pain. Test results confirmed 3 fractured vertabrae in the spine, a fractured left hip, and fractured rib #8. The cancer has weakened the bones, and this is what caused the bone fractures. He can't lift anything heavier than 5 pounds, and no bending, no lifting, and no twisting, per doctor orders. He has been out of work ever since then. Steve has been in and out of the hospital 8 or 9 times since November, due to the Chemo treatment causing so many health issues. His most recent health issue is his mouth. The bone strengthener medicine that the Cancer doctor was giving him, a side effect of that medicine, is "necrosis of the jaw bone". He now has sores inside his mouth and and on the gums. The cancer doctor has stopped the bone strengthener, until an oral surgeon gives him the OK proceed with the strengthener. Now the oral surgeon has quoted close to $500 to go in and repair the mouth damage.

We have been living on a prayer for a few months now. I've been working trying to keep everything and everyone on track by myself. It's been so hard and stressful on us both. I've never been one to ask for a hand out, but he needs this oral surgery in order to continue with the bone strengthener. He also still has lots of chemo treatments to attend.
