Hi, my name is Steve Rolbiecki
I am a father to 3 kiddos: Jacob, Joshua, and Abigail. (Abby lives with her mom, the boys with me.) Today I am reaching out with a heart full of hope — and fear.
Back in 2007, I was diagnosed with stage 4 large B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
After intense chemo, radiation, and a stem cell transplant, I was blessed with nearly 18 years of remission.
But recently, a new biopsy revealed the cancer has returned.
I start chemotherapy again soon.
At the same time, my sons and I will eventually be facing the loss of our home.
After my parents passed away, we moved into their house — but because of complications with their healthcare assistance, the state will be claiming the property to recover medical costs.
Despite never missing a payment on the home, my medical debts have destroyed my credit.
I cannot qualify for a mortgage, loan, or even an apartment lease.
One of my twins has cerebral palsy and relies on a wheelchair.
This situation is devastating and frightening beyond words.
We are fighting to stay together, to stay housed, and to survive.
If you can help with even a small donation, you will not only help keep a roof over our heads, but you will be giving us time — time for me to heal and plan a future for my kiddos.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for believing in second chances.
Even $1 helps. And if you cannot donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Sharing saves lives too.
Much love,
Steve
