Steve and Heidi have been friends of mine for a few years now.

On May 14th, Steve suffered a severe chemical burn over almost 50% of his body at work. He remains in the ICU, burn unit at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. They are expecting his recovery to take into November of this year.

Recently, Steve has made some amazing progress. He is no longer intubated, his tracheostomy has been removed, he is no longer on dialysis. He is breathing and eating small amounts on his own. He is even talking. This can of progress makes our hearts happy, but he isn't out of the woods yet.

Heidi continues to visit him, now five times a week as she needs a break for herself. Your donations continue to help her pay for parking each time she visits him, for gas and for unexpected issues that arise at home.
