Help Steve And Aaron Find New Home
Donation protected
Steve is a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in Visalia who works tirelessly every day to help people struggling with addiction find peace and hope in sobriety. He is an integral part of our team at Robertson Recovery in Visalia and often travels to local jails to help inmates transition into recovery homes where they are able to begin life anew after discovering how recovery can provide people with second chances.
Aaron, his roommate, is a truck driver who gives freely of his spare time to volunteer as a peer advocate to help those who struggle with addiction work the 12 step process.
Both of these men recently suffered a tragedy on 5/19/21 when the apartment they rent together in Visalia burned to the ground due to a faulty evaporative cooler. Steve was fortunate enough to save family photos and his clothes before escaping the fire with his life and a few minor possessions. All of the rest of their belongings perished in the fire. The Red Cross donated enough money to keep them in a motel for a week.
These men bless the community every day with their giving and as a coworker of Steve's, I see this man's dedication to helping those who often have nothing. I have also seen Aaron sit many hours and guide men towards long term recovery by helping them to complete the twelve steps of both Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
I believe now is the time to help bless these two men and help them to find a new home and furnishings.
I ask only that you can give what you can.
Thank you,
Richard
