I lost my job two days after signing a new lease last August. I’ve done everything I can to secure new employment — workforce agencies, daily applications, networking, and in-person outreach — but I have not been able to close the gap before my unemployment benefits ended.

I am now facing urgent housing costs and need short-term support to remain stable while I continue my job search.

I’ve been actively applying for jobs across customer service, administrative roles, horticulture, and animal care. Despite sustained effort — including walking into places with my resume in hand — I haven’t secured work yet.

Currently, I need help covering:

• Rent for the next 2 months: $2,800

• Utility catch-up + one-month buffer: $750

• WiFi for 2 months: $120

Total Goal: $3,500

This fundraiser is about short-term stabilization, not long-term support. My goal is to stay housed, keep essential services active, and secure employment as quickly as possible so I can regain full independence.

Asking for help publicly is not easy, but right now a little support from the community could make the difference between staying stable and falling into a much larger crisis.
