Stephen’s Road to Recovery – Let’s Get Him Back on His Feet
We’re raising funds for our dear friend Stephen Lossner, with whom many of us grew up with at Lafayette Elementary. Last year, while in Vietnam, Stephen was brutally beaten — an attack that left him unable to walk and fighting for his life.
In the time since, Stephen has shown unimaginable strength and resilience. He hasn’t walked in over a year and just recently underwent major surgery on both feet in hopes of regaining the ability to walk again. He paid for the surgery out of pocket and has been facing mounting medical bills on his own.
Now, Stephen is entering the long and difficult road to rehabilitation. The next phase of his recovery requires access to physical therapy, in-home care, and basic living support — and his funds are running dangerously low.
We’re asking our community, friends, and anyone who can, to help us raise $20,000 to support Stephen through this critical stage. Every dollar will go toward:
Rehabilitation and physical therapy
In-home caregivers
Essential living expenses while he continues to recover
Stephen has always been a kind, humble, and loyal friend — someone who would never ask for help himself, even in the toughest of times. So we’re doing it for him.
Please consider donating whatever you can. If you’re not able to contribute financially, sharing this fundraiser means the world. Let’s help Stephen get back on his feet — literally.
