Help Stephen Rebuild Makers and Mystics

Hello friends,

My name is Stephen Roach. I am the host and creator of the Makers and Mystics podcast. This podcast is an independently, self-produced show featuring interviews with artists, theologians, and creative thinkers from around the world. I started the podcast in 2016 and have produced over 300 weekly episodes to date.

Makers and Mystics podcast is a large part of my livelihood, how I support my family and how I invest in the creative community I have served for these years.

I am reaching out to you today, because on May 27th, 2024, my studio laptop was stolen from me, leaving me unable to continue my work.

I have worked with the local police and went through all of the appropriate channels to try and get it back but nothing has turned up.

This was a brand new computer I had recently purchased and set it up to my specifications. I lost episodes as well as personal writings as a result of the theft. I am currently not in a position to replace the computer on my own.

Many of our friends and patrons asked if I would set up a Go Fund Me so they could help replace what was lost. This is humbling for me as I do not like to ask of others but I am grateful for the support of this incredible community.

The money raised here will go replace the computer and my software. Any remaining funds will be invested in upgrading my studio space where I record the podcast. (NOTE: Before the theft I was saving money to upgrade my studio space. The theft put this on hold. I am hopeful that I can replace what was lost and continue with this as planned.)
