For those of you who don't know Stephen, he is the son of our long-time friends, Bob and Debi Scholtes. He is a great son and loyal friend to many.

On New Years Eve, Stephen was living every day life like the rest of us. He was enjoying dinner with friends and choked on his food. When the Heimlich didn't work, the ambulance was called, and he had to be intubated. Once at the hospital, after many tests, they discovered a tumor in Stephen's brain. The tumor and the location of the tumor are what caused him not to be able to swallow, which caused him to choke. They had to operate where they discovered he has brain cancer.

Stephen has a tough road to hoe ahead of him and will have to go through many chemo and radiation treatments. He will not be able to work and be able to pay for any basic living expenses, not to mention any medical bills he will incur.

We are devastated to learn of Stephen's diagnosis of brain cancer. Stephen is a strong, young man and a fighter! His attitude is that he is going to fight with everything he has in him.

Fortunately, Stephen is currently staying with his longtime friend Hollie Wagner, who is a very positive and supportive person. Stephen‘s parents, Robert and Debi Scholtes, have flown up from Florida and are doing all they can. Any donation will help, big or small.
