My name is Deacon Vermaak. I’ve set this fundraiser up for Stephen Buttigieg, a car-loving grandfather whose pride and joy, a white Holden VF GTS, was stolen in a Facebook Marketplace scam.

Stephen wasn’t selling the car for fun. He was doing it to help his kids buy their first home. Now not only is his car gone, but so is the chance to give his family that start.

I will not keep a dollar of this — everything raised will go directly to Stephen to help him get and recover at least some of what was taken.
