Medically Steve has been unknowingly battling cancer for over a decade.   In 2019, Steve was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  In the Summer of 2019, Steve had a large brain tumor removed to save his life. He recovered well from the brain surgery, but the cancer returned in late 2019.

Steve is fighting hard to overcome this illness.  He is well loved by friends, family, neighbors and bandmates throughout Southern California. Your love and financial support is the fuel Steve needs to keep fighting this battle against brain cancer.  Steve appreciates all your love, good vibes and support in this most trying of times.

Steve Becker was born and raised in Long Beach California and lifelong member of the Southern California community.  Music is Steve’s passion. He began to play Clarinet at age 10 and became an accomplished harmonica player by 16.  Steve’s mastery of the Lap steel guitar has won him the praise of friends and bandmates alike.  Steve’s ability to improvise and adapt to different styles of music made him highly sought out over the years by numerous bands throughout Southern California.

Steve worked at the famous Long Beach landmark Acres of books. His ability to play music during Acres work hours and on poetry nights made him a hit with his colleagues and customers.  Steve also worked as an executive with the family owned used auto parts recycling business which specialized in British roadsters.  Working in the car industry furthered his lifelong interest in all things automobiles.
