Help Stephen and Kids After Losing Loved Ones

My name is Robyn and I'm starting this fundraiser for my ex, Stephen and his children. Unfortunately, Stephen's 2025 began with the unexpected death of Trish, his wife of 17 years and mother of his children, on January 3rd. Trish had just celebrated her 42nd birthday the week before. She was a healthy, vibrant woman who loved her family fiercely, and her family included their friends. As they began trying to navigate and find their new normal without Trish, Stephen's mother, Dorothy, lost her fight in the hospital and passed away on January 19th.

Trish was not only a devoted wife and mother but also a partner in running NJA Auctions in Saugerties. Now, Stephen and his family must go through the grieving process while Stephen simultaneously attempts to make a new business plan that will allow him to maintain an income while also transitioning into the role of main caregiver to his children.

As if this one loss wasn't difficult enough, losing Dorothy added an immense amount of pain to an already difficult situation. Dorothy was cherished by so many and will be extremely missed.

These sudden losses brought on unexpected financial challenges, including funeral expenses and the need to adjust without Trish's presence in their business and home. Trish was the primary caregiver while Stephen was the primary breadwinner. Stephen must now take on both roles. This will take a toll both emotionally and financially.

Stephen also suffers from health problems of his own. He has a traumatic brain injury from a car accident many years ago. From this, he experiences seizures which can be severe and impede his ability to work as well as care for himself or the children.
