I need your help to raise money for my friend, Stephen Phillips, who is going through a very difficult time. Animal rescuers & advocates, I need your attention.

Stephen just paid almost $7,000 to save his beloved cat's life. “Bruce” was suffering a major internal blockage. His condition would’ve cost his life without immediate surgery. Bruce will be relegated to a lifetime of ongoing treatment, including costly medication, a lifetime of vet-prescribed food, & regularly scheduled vet visits to monitor his condition.

Stephen loves his fur kids with a deep passion & made a promise to them that he would do whatever it took to provide any & all care necessary to preserve their health & well-being, especially if it was a potential life or death situation. In no way would he ever consider saying no to the treatment of any of his fur kids. Your compassionate donations will be used, in part, to help pay for Bruce's exorbitant vet bills & the subsequent treatment he will need.

This situation surely caught Stephen off guard financially, but he honored his commitment to give his kids the chance to live.

Unfortunately, this crisis couldn’t have happened at a more untimely stage of Stephen's life. Stephen just had major surgery at the Mayo & has a very painful, long road to recovery. He lives alone & is nearly in a state of disability, constant pain & sleepless nights.

This man survives on his monthly SSDI benefits, which most of us know is practically nothing.

He made pre-op arrangements to have a small bathroom installed near his bedroom so he wouldn’t be forced to go down two floors to use the bathroom. Now, he discovered that he doesn’t have the money to pay the contractor due to Bruce's unexpected health crisis & vet bills.

Your donation will also be used to pay the contractor & reduce the heavy burden & stress that Stephen carries on his shoulders as he struggles to find the energy to recover from his recent, crippling surgery.

This man has put blood, sweat & tears into rescuing, saving the lives of, & fighting to successfully change ordinances to protect the countless animals who have no voice. He has been an inspiration to so many. Stephen has been a rescue warrior for the past 50 years & has no plans to stop.
