But now, Stephanie and her family are facing one of the toughest battles of their lives.

A few weeks ago, her son James, one of the triplets, was taken to the hospital with a very high fever that doctors couldn’t bring down. Last night, he was finally diagnosed with lupus and kidney disease. Since then, he has been in the hospital receiving treatment and fighting every day to get better. Stephanie hasn’t left his side — she has been with him day and night for the past three weeks, holding his hand, advocating for his care, and doing everything a loving mother can do.

Because of the long hospital stay and the constant care James needs, Stephanie has been unable to work — and recently lost her job. As a single mother, this has left her struggling to keep up with rent, bills, and her children’s daily needs, all while dealing with the overwhelming stress of medical expenses and the uncertainty of the future.
