Stephanie had a Dr. Appointment yesterday.

Her blood levels have dropped again since the last blood transfusion .

So she is going in for another blood transfusion later this week.

Good news is the Dr's have found multiple matches for a bone marrow donor!

So they are now proceeding with getting a time frame set for the transplant.

Hi, my name is Rachel, and I am starting this GoFundMe to help my brother Caleb, his wife Stephanie, and their two kids, Hoyt (12) and Bryxten (9). Stephanie was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Primary Myelofibrosis at the beginning of September. With this cancer, the only treatment is a bone marrow transplant, and with that comes a lot of obstacles. The main one is that they must go to Presbyterian of St. Lukes in Denver, Colorado; they reside in Bar Nunn, Wyoming, a 4-hour drive one-way.

Once they find a donor, Stephanie will stay in Denver for a long time. 100 days, the Drs. have said. How much of that will be in the hospital is not known at this time, but for the 100 days, she needs to be no more than 20 miles from the Hospital. So, they will also pay for a place to stay in Denver and their home in Bar Nunn, Wyoming. Along with all the medical bills, food, and gas, for Caleb to go back and forth to see his wife in Denver and his kids back home in Bar Nun, Wyoming. This is a significant financial hardship. Stephanie will not be working (she holds the insurance), and Caleb is self-employed, so he had no paid vacation or sick time.

This cancer is moving faster than they thought. There was not a lot of time to plan for this. Until they can find a donor, Stephanie will have weekly doctor appointments and blood transfusions as needed. Once the transplant has occurred and the 100 days in Denver are over, Stephanie can return to Bar Nunn, Wyoming. However, they must go to Denver every 2 weeks for appointments.
