Hi, my name is Stephanie Casas and I started this GoFundMe to help my dad Jesus Valdez Marquez with medical bills and to help pay for the nurses he needs around the clock. He was in the hospital in Tijuana for 3 weeks and came out very weak and unable to walk or move much on his own. I am here to try and get as much help as possible to cover some of his expenses since he doesn’t have much help. He lives in Tijuana, B.C., and I visit him 3-4 times a week and take him items he needs like diapers, wipes, syringes for his medications he needs daily, water, groceries, and toiletries. I do what I can and buy him as much as I can, but it is becoming a bit hard to keep up with him needing things like a wheelchair, walker, couch, bed—just everything to keep him comfortable and give him the best care we can with what we have. He currently needs care around the clock but I cannot be with him 24/7 because I have my own family to take care of with my youngest being only 2 years old. That is why he needs nurses to care for him when I can’t.
- He used to be very independent and lived on his own, but he no longer can do that. All of the funds gathered will be used to help pay for the nurses caring for him around the clock until he can hopefully regain strength and walk and move again on his own.
