Help Stephanie with Medical and Household Expenses
Donation protected
We, Stephanie's family, are starting this page seeking help to aid Stephanie and her family with medical and household expenses.
Steph first tested positive with Covid 19 on April 14th.
She started out with minor cold or allergy like symptoms. She was getting ready to go back to work but her cough was not getting any better, in fact she was having issues with coughing up blood.
On April 28th while she was home with her son Matthew, she started to have difficulty breathing and was unable to communicate with him.
911 was called and when they arrived her oxygen levels were down to 64. EMS put oxygen on her and were able to bring it up to the 80’s.
She was transported to McLaren Thumb Region hospital where they inserted a breathing tube. While that was being done her heart stopped and they had to perform CPR to restart her heart.
Once the ventilator was in place and she was stable enough to be transported, she was taken to McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.
After some tests were done, her chest X-ray showed that she had blood clots in her lungs that required emergency surgery to have them removed.
Doctors removed two finger length blood clots from her lungs, which improved her chances of survival.
She is currently battling kidney issues and has had dialysis to help kick start her kidney function. Her lungs show signs of scar tissue damage and she remains on the ventilator.
Please consider helping her and her family during this difficult time. Her husband Steve is working but the financial hardship of a single income is difficult to overcome. Her son Matthew is a junior at Bad Axe high school and still living at home.
Funds that are made available will strictly be used for the mortgage, utilities and other household expenses.
Your help is greatly appreciated amidst the uncertainty surrounding Stephanie and her battle with Covid 19.
With many thanks!
