Help Stephanie Get Back on Her Feet After Sudden Loss
Professional bartender needs help securing housing after losing her home following her partner's death
Three weeks ago, one of my closest friends, Stephanie Soriano, lost her boyfriend Kenny after more than twelve years together. While still grieving this devastating loss, she faced another shocking blow: Kenny's daughter inherited his house and gave Stephanie just ten days to pack up her life and leave the only home she'd known for more than a decade.
Today, Stephanie is living out of her car in Myrtle Beach, showering at friends' houses, and spending her days searching for both work and a place to live. It's a catch-22 situation - she needs a permanent address to get hired, but she needs a job to afford housing.
About Stephanie
Stephanie is a seasoned hospitality professional with 30 years of experience as a top-notch bartender and server. Those who know her describe her as:
• Extremely friendly, and an outgoing hospitality professional with the personality every great bartender needs
• Exceptional at managing busy bar and restaurant situations
• Always reliable - never late and willing to work long shifts to help her team be successful
• Considerate of others and someone who truly cares about providing excellent service
Her work ethic is irreproachable, and she has the skills and experience to land a good job in Myrtle Beach's restaurant scene - she just needs help to build a stable foundation to work from.
How Your Donation Will Help
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
• Security deposit and first month's rent for a small apartment or suitable room in shared housing
• Temporary housing (motel/extended stay) while she searches for permanent housing
• Job search expenses (transportation, phone service, professional appearance needs)
• Basic necessities while she gets back on her feet
The Plan
With stable housing secured, Stephanie will be able to:
1. Use a permanent address on job applications
2. Have a safe place to live while preparing for interviews
3. Focus her energy on finding employment rather than survival
4. Get back to doing what she does best - providing excellent service in the hospitality industry in the Myrtle Beach area
Why This Matters
Stephanie isn't looking for a handout — she's looking for a hand up.
She has the skills, experience, and determination to rebuild her life. She just needs help bridging the gap between losing everything and getting back to self-sufficiency. Your donation will help a hardworking professional get back on her feet during one of the most difficult times in her life. Any amount helps, and we are deeply grateful for your kindness and support.
Updates will be posted regularly to show how funds are being used and Stephanie's progress in finding housing and employment.
