Help Stephanie Rebuild after Theft

Stephanie Hagberg, our beloved colleague, recently decided to make a huge life change, and take a very big chance by moving herself, her young child, and her grandparents to Phoenix, AZ in order to pursue a leadership role at work. Anyone who knows Stephanie, who has had the privilege of working with her, is always struck by her kindness, generosity, gentleness and constant support for friends and family. She is a devoted mother and grandchild, exclusively supporting her family financially.

During her move, Stephanie and her family were severely mishandled by a moving company. The movers themselves were careless with her things, breaking countless items, sentimental and functional, and also stole many items, perhaps most shocking, breaking her son's piggybank to take $4. 

Needless to say, having her broken belongings strewn all over the lawn of her new apartment was traumatic and incredibly stressful. In addition to a huge mess, Stephanie was then threatened by these movers into providing an additional payment of $3100, having to leave her child with her grandparents at night to find a store where she could purchase a money order. This unanticipated cost, where Stephanie felt she had no choice or face further destruction of her property and potential safety concerns for herself and her family, has depleted her savings on top of a costly move. Stephanie is also recovering from recent emergency surgery, and as a result has many medical bills to pay for as well. Stephanie filed a police report and reached out to the moving company immediately and repetitively to share her experience and see about some accountability, to no avail. The company has not called her back at all.

Our goal is to raise at least $5k for Stephanie, in order to help her replace broken and stolen belongings and the $3100 in unanticipated moving payments. Thank you in advance for your generosity to this wonderful human during this challenging time.
