Hi, my name is Kaitlyn, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my amazing friend and vintage colleague, Stephanie, owner of Funkys Junk, who has been a dedicated part of the BC vintage community for years.
On the morning of March 27th, around 6 AM, a devastating fire—suspected arson—engulfed Station 99 in Williams Lake, BC. Stephanie was awoken by her husband to a Facebook post showing the beloved shop in flames. By the time firefighters arrived, the interior was fully engulfed.
Station 99 was the vision of Karen, who worked tirelessly to create a market-style space that housed a variety of vendors, including Stephanie’s dream vintage booth, which she opened in December 2023. She poured her heart into curating beautiful, one-of-a-kind treasures, making her booth a true reflection of her passion for vintage. Now, it’s all gone—completely destroyed in the fire.
This loss is not just emotional; it’s also financial. Stephanie’s booth was a major source of income for her family of four—her husband and their two young boys. The fire has left her facing uncertainty, financial strain, and the loss of irreplaceable vintage inventory.
I’m asking for help to ease the financial burden while she navigates this difficult time. The funds raised will go toward:
Lost income from her booth
Supporting her family as they recover from this loss
Helping her rebuild her vintage business in some way
Stephanie has always been an incredible supporter of the vintage community—now it’s our turn to rally around her. Any donation, big or small, will help bring her some peace of mind as she figures out what comes next.
Thank you for your support, kindness, and generosity.
With gratitude,
Kaitlyn
