Stephanie is a devoted mother of two young children. Her days were spent nurturing and protecting them, enjoying all the activities of a full-time mom. However, that was slowly eroded away by a disease that wreaked havoc on her liver and eventually affected all her systems. For years, she has battled Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, a rare and debilitating liver disease. Before her transplant, she faced two surgeries to stop life-threatening internal bleeding and afterward was on life support until her body was able to sustain itself again. She has faced tremendous pain and suffering on the road to her recovery. Recently, Stephanie underwent a full liver transplant—the only treatment option to save her, as the doctor put it, "your liver is telling us it's done."
This life-saving procedure has left her and her family facing enormous challenges. Her husband has stepped in as the family's full-time caretaker, managing the needs of their children and supporting Stephanie through her recovery.
The family is now confronted with urgent financial needs. They must cover monthly rent and ensure there is enough food for the four of them while Stephanie heals. Medical bills from years of hospital visits and treatment have accumulated, and the extent of their debt is unclear. Stephanie requires lifelong medication to support her new liver, another surgery ahead to fix a different issue, physical therapy, and frequent doctor visits to monitor her progress, as well as small in-home changes to accommodate her needs. Post liver transplant, she will continue to need support in her healing journey—both in prayers and financially.
Any funds that can be given to ease the burdens of this family would be monumentally helpful and so appreciated. Your generosity will help Stephanie and her family focus on healing and give them hope for a brighter future. Stephanie is an incredibly talented singer and loves to lead worship at her church. It would mean so much for her to return sharing her passion and be able to witness to others with her personal story of the new gift of life.
