Help My Mom Stephanie Keep Fighting — and Keep Healing
After a year of courageously giving it her all, my mom’s latest PET scan shows signs of cancer, even after finishing 6 rounds of Front Line Chemotherapy.
We’re not giving up — but we need your help now more than ever.
Hi, I’m Matthew Brown, and I’m asking for your help to give my incredible mom, Stephanie Blackbird, the chance to continue her fight for life.
One Year Later — Still in the Fight of Her Life
In October 2024, right before her 65th birthday, our world turned upside down when Mom was diagnosed with Stage 3C High-Grade Serous Carcinoma, one of the most aggressive and fast-spreading forms of ovarian cancer.
After major surgery, 6 months of a stringent holistic protocol, the cancer came back. Mom then had to do 4 months of chemotherapy, and we prayed the worst was behind us. But this type of cancer has a 70–90% recurrence rate. Despite her dedication to both holistic and medical healing, her latest PET scan showed a concerning spot on her lung that has doubled since the last PET scan, and possible activity in her abdomen.
Doctors have currently paused treatment until a biopsy can confirm what we’re dealing with. While we wait, Mom continues to do what she’s done since day one — stay strong, centered, and full of hope.
Her Commitment to Healing
Mom has given this fight everything she has — body, mind, and spirit. She’s continuing to work closely with her naturopathic doctor, who has recommended an updated healing protocol that costs about $2,500 per month, along with other ongoing tests, scans, and care not covered by insurance.
She’s also seeking a second medical opinion to ensure every possible path forward is explored — because giving up has never been an option.
What Your Support Means
We’ve updated our goal to $50,000 to help cover the next phase of Mom’s journey — including her treatment protocol, testing, supplements, medical travel, and other healing-related expenses.
Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping her heal, giving her more time with her husband, Al, and her granddaughter, Harper, who brings light to every single day.
Whether it’s $5, $10, $25, $100, or simply sharing this fundraiser with your friends or on social media — every bit of support makes a difference. Your generosity, prayers, and kind words keep her spirit lifted and her hope alive.
Why It Matters
Mom has spent her life giving to friends, family, and even strangers, offering love, encouragement, and light wherever she goes. Now, it’s our turn to pour that same love back into her.
She’s the heart of our family, and we want her to have many more birthdays, Easters, Thanksgivings, Christmases, and milestones with us.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for helping my mama keep fighting, keep healing, and keep shining her beautiful light.
Together, we can give her the chance she deserves — and the hope she continues to inspire in all of us.
