Help Stephanie Beat Stage 3 Breast Cancer!

Dear Friends & Angels around the world,
My name is Alana and I’m reaching out to share something that is incredibly important to me and to someone I’ve known as my sister for 15 years: my dear friend Stephanie. Stephanie is one of the most loving, generous, and kind-hearted people you could ever meet. Her hugs feel like home, her laughter is contagious, and her spirit lifts everyone around her, regardless of what she’s going through. She's a devoted mother, a trusted friend, a fierce advocate for social justice, a passionate lover of learning, and a counselor who listens with her heart. Did I fail to mention she’s an excellent cook? You better ask somebody!
Stephanie has always dreamed of a successful career, and after years of hard work and putting herself through college earning not 1 but 3 degrees, she was finally starting to live that dream by landing a position at an agency she’s longed to work for since we met. But everything changed with one phone call.
In late January 2024, Stephanie discovered a lump in her breast. Immediately, she sought help, and after a mammography and two separate biopsies, doctors confirmed on April 4, 2024 that she had been diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma In Situ: Breast Cancer, Stage 3, Invasive, and HER2 positive; it had already spread to her lymph nodes. What followed has been a blur of appointments, tests, 2 surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and all of the horrible, debilitating side effects associated with it. Stephanie is now nearing the final stages of her treatment, with just 10 chemo & 10 radiation sessions left, but a devastating obstacle has just occurred. Her insurance coverage, which she relies on for treatment, was suddenly canceled without notice due to missed premiums—something that happened while she was physically and mentally unable to work due to her illness. The financial burden has become overwhelming, and she’s now faced with the certainty of her treatments ending prematurely.
She has already exhausted her savings paying for basic needs such as rent, groceries, utilities, etc. and has no other options left. The sheer injustice of this situation is heartbreaking, and the emotional toll of facing cancer without the proper medical coverage is something no one should have to experience. Her biggest wish is to beat this so she can return to work and continue her journey of fulfilling her dreams of helping others.
This is where I’m asking for your help. With a generous donation of any amount, Stephanie can reinstate/continue to pay her insurance, and resume the treatment she so desperately needs.
I know times are tough for everyone, but I truly believe that if we all come together, we can help Stephanie reach the finish line. She is so close! As a private person who has not shared her diagnosis with many, your support will mean the world to her as she continues her fight with all she has left. Her strength, resilience, and love for others are unmatched, and with your support, she can finish this battle strong and ring that bell of victory!
Please share this campaign with your network, as the more it reaches, the bigger the impact.
