Help Stephanie fight Stage 4 Colon Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alissa and our family desperately needs help for my Mom, Stephanie to help pay her medical bills, medication insurance won't cover, and other needs while she fights Stage 4 Colon Cancer for a second time. WE TRULY NEED YOUR HELP. PLEASE SHARE OUR GOFUNDME!
Back in November 2015 my Mom ended up in the ER, and that is where they found a blockage in her colon, and when we discovered she had Stage 3 Colon Cancer. I was 15 years old at the time, and my little brother was only 9. Growing up in a single parent household this was difficult to say the least on my family. At the time we of course struggled with money and always had. My Mom always put a brave face and always told us it was going to be okay.

I remember like it was yesterday, her sleeping through most days, being groggy and out of it, she just wasn't herself at the time. It took a toll on her mentally but our family too. It was very hard thinking that my Mom, who was the person who did everything and anything for her kids and the people she loves, could die.
However, She went through chemo, in the hospital nearly every other day for about 2 years and her cancer had gone into remission in 2016. It has been 4 years since then, and every day I was grateful it was gone because I've seen my Mom become herself again, and she became even better than she ever was before.

Today It is September 2021, and we have found out that her cancer has returned, this time Stage 4 Colon Cancer. She starts chemotherapy on Friday, and to be honest, we need all the help we can get as she is without employment. I am 20 years old working a service industry job, looking to go back to school to pursue my dreams, my little brother is 15 going to school, and we have 2 puppies. (Named Sunny and Rusty.)
My Mom has always been my support system and a core part of my family, and the reason I am here today. She is an amazing, loving, caring, and the best Mom I could ever ask for and honestly I am scared of seeing her go through this disease again. I know we will need help along the way to battle this.
I'd love for this story to end on a good note, and that is why I am creating this GoFundMe. My Mom is out of work currently, and will be unable to while she battles this, and she has a car payment, house mortgage, along with basic living expenses.
It would mean a lot to her, me, and my family for any help you are willing to give, whether it be donating or sharing this post.
Thank you for reading, and I will provide any updates as time goes on.

Update
Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared this post so far. We truly from the bottom of our hearts appreciate your generosity and kindness. Stephanie's doctor may write a referral to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota if treatment here isn't enough. So funds will be going to travel there aswell.
Most of the funds will be going to treatment, house mortgage, car payment, and other bills as needed. We are so greatful for all of your help so far, and please remember the best way to help is to share this GoFundMe or reach out to me personally.
End of April 2023 Update:
Thank you all for your continued support and donations throughout my Mom's cancer treatments, helping us pay our bills and make ends meet. All of the donations and kindness is very very appreciated. We still are struggling month to month with groceries, the water bill, electricity, the mortgage and more as my Mom continues to fight colon cancer. We appreciate all of the continued help.
This month my Mom broke her wrist and is now having seek treatment for the broken wrist while delaying her chemotherapy treatment for 4 weeks.
We really appreciate everyone's donations so far, and encourage anyone who can to help us this month as we could really use the financial support for our household needs and bills. Thank you so much again for all of the continued help.
If you want to help but can't donate. Please share this on Facebook and with all of your friends. We need all the help we can get.
