Stephanie's Second Chance

Donation protected
On the night or March 8th at around 11:00 pm my beautiful niece Stephanie Snyder  was awoken to someone yelling for her to "get out of the house  there was a fire" in West Sand Lake, NY.

Steph had been working on the apartment for over a month.  Friends and family helped by painting, installing new carpets and hardwood floors, donating beds, couches and chairs, all to get her moved in and to have a fresh start.   She was excited, eager and determined to make the apartment a home.  She officially moved in to the renovated apartment on Sunday, March 7th.  Life was good....

On the night of March 8th, Steph rushed to the door to escape the fire,  but she quickly realized her only way out was fully engulfed in flames.  Steph was forced to jump from the second story window.

One positive out of all of this, her girls Marley and Annie were not staying there that night.  As you can see the apartment is totally destroyed.  She jumped out with only the clothes on her back, not even any shoes.

Steph is now displaced indefinitely without a single item to take with her she has no furniture, she has no clothing,  she has no place to live.  The apartment has extensive damaged from fire, smoke and water.

From talking to others who have experienced house fires, it is most helpful for the Stephanie  to be able to purchase exactly what she need versus accepting donations of clothes, etc.  This eliminates her being additionally overwhelmed by having to sort through items and getting too much versus getting only what they need.

On behalf of the Fryer and Snyder Family...Thank you, thank you, thank you for your love for Stephanie, Marley and Annie!  They deserve it all and Stephanie would  be the first to jump in to help another family in this situation.

 God Bless
Aunt Laura
