UPDATE 1/27/2026:

Thank you, truly, to everyone who supported Stephani back in September. We are re-opening this fundraiser because Stephani's landlord is now threatening her with eviction. If Stephani cannot reach her goal by the end of the week, she will be at risk of becoming unhoused in the coldest part of the year.

Stephani was born and raised in East Durham, and she has lived in her current home on Holloway Street for over four years. She works as a CNA, and she has fallen behind on rent after unexpectedly losing one of her clients. She urgently needs to raise money so that she can pay her back rent and avoid eviction.

Those who know Stephani know that she is a pillar of her family and community. She has consistently supported her neighbors, including by hosting weekly food distribution events on her front porch. Helping her stay in her home is vital for her and the neighborhood around her.

We urge you to give generously to help protect Stephani from eviction and stem the tide of gentrification in East Durham.
