Help Steph With Her Fight Against Cancer!

For anyone who knows Stephani, you know she is one of the strongest and most determined woman ever. No matter what life has thrown at her, she has found a way to conquer it and this battle will be no different. A few months ago she realized something was wrong and was finally able to see a Dr. After 3 mammograms, 2 ultrasounds and 3 biopsies, she finally had her answer. Before the biopsies she was given a 95% chance that at least one of the three masses they found were going to come back as cancer. As prepared as she tried to be, she was devastated to learn two of the masses were malignant. She has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast cancer: Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Invasive Lobular Carcinoma and Ductal Hyperplasia. 

 

While Stephani has some insurance, she has already exausted the funds she had and a few thousand dollars in bills have come just on the testing she had to go through to be diagnosed. She has to find a way to get through this while coming up with her $5,000 deductible as well as her $6,500 out-of-pocket before the insurance will start helping with part of it. The Dr's have put a sense of urgency on treatment and she has her first appointment with the surgeon and appointments with the oncology team beginning next week. They are already discussing her having a double mastectomy,  reconstructive surgery and chemo, with the possibility of radiation as well. There is no way we know how much help she is going to need this early on, but between medical bills already overwhelming as well as loss of wages for all of the time she will have to take off of work, she is going to need a lot of help not only financially but also emotionally to get through this. 

 

We all know Stephani is tough as nails and is going to fight and win, and do it with a great big smile. Hopefully we can come together and help however we can with easing the financial burden so she can focus on getting through this and kicking cancers butt!
