Help Steph Raise Funds for a Safe Environment

Hello!


My name is Stephanie and I am currently living in a dangerous environment that I'm needing to get out of ASAP. LIke many, this year has been brutal, but outside the pandemic a lot has happened in my personal life. I managed to get my own apartment this time last year and then lost it due to losing one of my jobs and having my hours cut significantly at another because of the pandemic, but not enough to get any unemployment. I could not secure a new job in time to afford rent outside the one month only moratorium that was in effect in Washington County, so I ended up moving back to my childhood home.



After such, I started a new job and then had to quit after 4 months due to an onset of several chronic illnesses that were new to me and impeded my ability to work, as well as made it more dangerous for me to work in a public setting due to Covid. I also lost my car, so getting around to a job has been difficult and remote work really is the best solution for me. Needless to say, it's been difficult to find remote work and get back on my feet.



I am now needing to leave my home because my abusive father, who is mentally unstable, has had all charges my mother raised against him dropped due to being declared mentally incompetent to defend. The restraining order my mother placed is no longer in effect, and her petition to file another was denied, and he is free to come here whenever he pleases, and the courts will not interfere unless he either makes threats or assaults someone. He is very unstable, angry, and has a history of physical violence, to which I need to get out of here with my cats. He is an incredibly mentally, emotionally, verbally, and in the past physically, abusive person. My immediate family has cut contact with him because of his behavior, and he has a history of threatening violence to us.



I will be staying with some friends until I can secure a place of my own, but I need to have a job on paper before I can apply for an apartment. My cats are staying with some friends for the time being, but ultimately any money raised will go towards moving fees, animal deposits, my own deposit, rent, and a few pieces of furniture I'll need in a new place.



I know I have a hefty goal, but the more I can raise and save, the sooner I can move when I land a job. Any help is kindly appreciated and gets me closer to being back with my cats.
