About four years ago, I adopted Stella, the sweetest and most gentle dog you can imagine. Coming from a life of racing down in Florida, she immediately ran her way into my heart. 


The first day at home, she walked into the house, strutted straight to my bed, fell asleep, and drooled all over my pillow. Stella's time with me has been nothing but a dream. Her usual days consist of zoomies around the house, napping, roaching (see below), chasing squirrels, and eating all the food in the house. In short, she's perfect. 


Sadly, our simple life was disrupted by terrifying news. 

My sweet eight-year-old greyhound had a large, red mass extracted from her mouth during a routine dental exam. It turned out to be a deadly, rapidly growing cancerous mass. 

The first round of testing on the biopsy showed that it was likely lymphoma, but a second test led to inconclusive results of what type (b or t-cell). After a wallet-emptying trip to the oncologist, the doctor determined she either has a plasma cell tumor or a rare version of lymphoma. Either one is life-altering for both of us. 

At the current point in my life, I cannot pay for her testing and treatments alone. However, I refuse to give up on Stella. It pains me to ask for assistance, but I will do anything in my power to give her a happy life. All donated funds will cover the next round of testing she needs to determine what type of cancer, in addition to the necessary treatment to ensure she can comfortably live her life. 

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity, as Stella absolutely means the world to many other people and me. A life with Stella is much brighter.
