Jonathan is raising funds for his mother’s dog, Stella. A rescue, now a little over a year old, Stella was recently diagnosed with a serious orthopedic condition. Without surgery, she would risk losing her leg, and required the removal of the top of her femoral bone. Wanting to give Stella the best possible chance at a long, happy life, the family chose to move forward with the procedure. The surgery was necessary in hopes of her being able to walk normally again and enjoy a better quality of life. While they are grateful that surgery was possible, the costs have been rather substantial because the operation and Stella’s ongoing physical therapy are not fully covered by insurance.

Like so many pet owners, Jonathan’s family sees Stella as much more than a pet. She is a beloved rescue, a loyal companion, and an important part of the family. After already experiencing tragic and unexpected losses with previous dogs, they are doing everything they can to help Stella heal and recover well. Stella is so very loved, and donations will help ease the financial strain of her surgery, rehabilitation, and continued care.
